'Paws For Paws Walk' Promises Terrific Morning For All

MENLO PARK, CA – The third annual "Paws for Paws Walk" set for Saturday, Aug. 25 in Menlo Park, a benefit for the Menlo Park Police Foundation, the department K-9 unit, as well as Operation Freedom Paws, starts with doggie yoga at 8 a.m. and just gets better.

Registration for walk participants is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Burgess Park, with the walk starting at 9 a.m., as attendees and their pup companions enjoy meet-and-greets with local pet vendors and lots of dog-treat samples.

Several popular food trucks also will be on hand for human appetites.

Throughout the morning event, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., dog- and family-friendly activities will include

• Dog walk for additional raffle tickets
• Doga (doggie yoga)
• Face painting for kids
• Food trucks
• Photo booth
• Outdoor family movie
• Puppaccinos and other treats
• Pet training Q & A
• Ask a veterinarian
• Pet vendors
• Bounce house for kids

The event is free, but walk and raffle entries require ticket purchases. Tickets are available at:

Tickets purchased in advance are $25 and cover walk attendance for a canine and four human family members. Tickets sold at the door are $30. All registrations include a goodie bag, one raffle ticket and an event souvenir for your doggie.
