SAN MATEO, CA ā San Mateo police say they are working tirelessly to find those responsible for shooting and injuring a man in a drive-by this week. As such, they've gathered enough information since the Tuesday night incident to release suspect descriptions for both the shooter and getaway vehicle driver.
"San Mateo Police Detectives are working around the clock to gather pertinent information in this investigation," police said in a news release. "Based on witness and victim accounts, the suspects are described as the following:
- Shooter- Hispanic male adult, 6 foot, wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, sunglasses and a mask.
- Driver- Hispanic or White female adult, blonde hair, average build
- Getaway vehicle- Red four door sedan"
Officers responded at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 900 block of South Delaware Street where the shooting occurred. At the scene, officers located a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound that is not considered life-threatening. The victim was taken to a trauma center, police said.
