Meanwhile, conditions ripe for wildfires is expected in the Bay Area. But things are expected to change drastically by the July 4 holiday.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Weather around the Bay Area is about to get a lot warming as a "robust warming trend" starts Friday, forecasters said. The trend is expected to continue into Saturday thanks to some high pressure above the region and and offshore flow, according to the National Weather Service.

"Cooling will then take place Sunday and into early next week with temperatures falling to below seasonal averages for the Independence Day Holiday," the agency said.

Meanwhile, San Francisco Bay Area residents face increased danger from wildfires and heat-related illnesses Friday and Saturday as the weather gets hot and windier, according to the NWS.
