
Opening the game at a torrid pace, the Menlo School boys’ basketball team reeled off eight unanswered points, then rallied in the second half before falling in a 71-63 loss to host Sacred Heart Prep on Tuesday.

The lead changed four times in the second quarter before the Gators pulled away with a 10-point run before halftime. The next time the Knights would inch closer was in the fourth. Guard James Huber sank a pair of free throws and on the ensuing possession, made a basket, drew the foul and converted the three-point play with 3:22 left in the game.

Senior Richard Harris got a steal and made the basket closing the SHP lead to four. Harris closed in on 18 points and fellow senior Will Miller poured in 17 for the Knights.
SHP swingman Ricky Galliani drained four three-pointers and finished with 25 points and senior Cole McConnell also had four from three-point range and scored 20 points.
