San Mateo Sheriff Announces 'Si Se Puede!' Event

The Domestic Violence Awareness Month event will be conducted in Spanish on Saturday, October 29 in Redwood City.

Community Service Event ā€œSi Se Puede!ā€ (Yes you can!ā€)

On Saturday, October 29th, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring a community event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In partnership with San Mateo County Supervisor Warren Slocum’s Office, The San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office, Catholic Charities of San Mateo County, Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) and Rape Trauma Services, the event is called Si Se Puede! (Yes You Can!)

Held entirely in Spanish, this outreach event is targeted to the Latina community to provide helpful information and resources available to victims, families and friends of persons who may be affected by domestic violence.

The free event will be held at the Verbo Family Services Center at 2798 Bay Rd. in the North Fair Oaks area of Redwood City on Saturday, 10/29/16 from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Free parking is available as well as childcare for children over 3 years old. Light breakfast as lunch will be provided at no cost. The event will include entertainment and raffle prizes.

RSVP’s to 650-363-1840 are highly encouraged but not necessary. All are welcome to attend!
