SAVE WATER WITH GRAYWATER! FREE WORKSHOP ON MARCH 14TH
Free workshop on graywater systems

Menlo Park, CA – Attend a FREE workshop on graywater systems on Saturday, March 14th from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center (Oak Room) located at 700 Alma Street. Learn how to simply and safely reuse water from sinks, showers, and washing machines to irrigate plants. The class will discuss residential graywater reuse and will demonstrate how to construct a “laundry to landscape” graywater system. Participants will put together a sample system using real parts. Also learn about Menlo Park’s water conservation programs such as Lawn Be Gone, which provides $2 per square foot in rebates for converting lawns into water-efficient landscapes, and the NEW Conserve-A-Scape program, which provides a professional landscape consultation, landscape design plan, and plant list for only $50.
Walk-ins are welcome, however class size is limited. Register to reserve your spot by calling (650) 349-3000 or by visiting www.bawsca.org/classes. This class is co-sponsored by the City of Menlo Park and the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA).
