Scattered Showers This Morning, Heavier Rains Possible This Evening
Low-lying intersections may be flooded this evening.

Bay Area residents and visitors can expect scattered showers this morning, said an official with the National Weather Service. Meteorologist Peter Van Eckhardt said showers this morning will be much more scattered than what residents experienced Thursday or Monday.
Rains may become heavier and more widespread this evening, Van Eckhardt said. Residents could see urban and small stream flooding because of the rainfall today.
“That’s a definite concern,” he said.

“Soils are wet,” he said.

Some Bay Area roads are already experiencing flooding, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol, with reports of debris slides on some roads. .
