Weather Causing Cancellations, Flight Delays of 100+ Minutes at SFO
Check with your airline if flying today, as today's Bay Area forecast is rain, possible thunderstorms.

Weather this morning at San Francisco International Airport may result in some delays of more than 100 minutes, an airport official said.
SFO officials are reporting 80 cancellations of flights and delays of up to 109 minutes.
The airport is a ground delay program, which is slowing the rate of arrivals.

The ground delay program starts at 8 a.m. and is planned to last until midnight, though it could end earlier.
“It’s all up to Mother Nature,” the official said.

Flights to San Francisco from all over the country are being affected by the latest storm in the Bay Area, the official said.
Airport officials suggest that passengers check with their airline before heading to the airport.
As for the weather, rain and breezy conditions are expected in the Bay Area today. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Highs are expected to be in the upper 50s with southeast winds of 20 to 30 mph, becoming south at 10 to 20 mph this afternoon.
Rain is expected this evening with showers likely after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 50s with south winds of 5 to 15 mph.
Rain is expected Tuesday with highs in the upper 50s and south winds of 10 to 20 mph.
