Woman Allegedly Uses Funny Money for Belmont Shopping Trip

Do you recognize this woman? Police are looking for tipsters.

Belmont Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who passed a counterfeit $100 bill, at a store in the Carlmont Shopping Center, in December.

On Saturday, December 20, 2014 at approximately 6:00PM a female suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase items at a beauty salon and beauty supply in the Carlmont Shopping Center. Belmont Police are releasing a video and still photo of the suspect to see if the public can identify her.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female approx. 40 years old, approx. 5’3ā€ tall, with scarring on her face. She was wearing hospital type scrubs (light blue top with Hello Kitty print and dark pants). She had drawn-on eyebrows in the shape of upside-down ā€œVā€œs.

A copy of the store’s security camera video is available for viewing on the Belmont Public Safety YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/belmontpublicsafety. A still photo of the suspect accompanies this media release.
