'Anytime this amount of people gather for a cause, the people in power must recognize it and do something.'

Every day Woodside students walk through the halls of campus laughing with their friends and stressing about an upcoming test, while only forty miles away people in Oakland are making a stand for the 99% and subsequently being attacked with tear gas.

Do these happy-go-lucky students even know about this movement? Would they get involved if they did know? Does it really concern us?

Ms. Diana House, a History teacher at Woodside, believes that it does. She strongly encourages students to get involved because “it’s people like you that are going to get out of college with a 4-year degree, and you’re not going to get a job. This is about your generation.”

Woodside Artist Profile: Rita Jensen

When she's not playing the flute, she's dancing.

When Risa Jensen saw her “music teacher play the flute, it sounded so soft, and as it sparkled [she] just knew the flute” was the instrument for her. Jensen is now one of the many talented students enriching the Woodside high school community culture with her elegant flute, graceful jazz and tap.
