Suspicious Tesla Fire Reported At Marin County Dealership: Police

Several vehicles caught fire in the dealership's rear parking lot, causing significant damage to at least two Teslas.

CORTE MADERA, CA — Marin County fire officials are investigating a fire at a Tesla dealership in Corte Madera after several cars caught fire early Monday, officials said.

Emergency dispatchers received reports of the fire shortly after 4:20 a.m. at the dealership. Central Marin firefighters arrived to find one vehicle burning in the rear parking lot, with flames spreading to nearby cars.

Firefighters contained the blaze before it reached the vehicles' main battery packs, officials said. At least two Teslas sustained significant damage, with one appearing to have been completely gutted by the fire.

The Marin County Fire Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the blaze.

Investigators have not identified a motive or confirmed whether the vehicles were deliberately set on fire but said it was suspicious.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been announced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
