5 Teens Arrested In Connection To Bay Area Robberies
All five were arrested on suspicion of robbery and felony evading.

MILPITAS, CA -- Police in Milpitas on Thursday arrested five teens in connection with purse robberies at the Great Mall of the Bay Area. The juveniles arrested included three 15-year-olds and two 14-year-olds.
One of the 15-year-olds arrested is a girl. Four of the suspects are from Oakland, and one suspect is from Berkeley.
All five were arrested on suspicion of robbery and felony evading, police said.

On Thursday at 3:33 p.m., officers with the Milpitas Police Department responded to a report of two purse robberies that occurred in the parking lot of the mall.
Police were able to get a description of the suspects' vehicle, a red 2016 Subaru Outback SUV that had been reported stolen out of Oakland.

An officer located the Subaru traveling north on Interstate Highway 80 and attempted to pull it over, but the driver fled at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was later located abandoned on Summerwind Way, and the suspects were seen walking away from the area.
Police were able to take the suspects into custody without incident and were able to recover some of the victims' property.
