UPDATE: Toddler Allegedly Taken Near Library Found, Reports Say

Milpitas Police officials are conducting an investigation into the suspected abduction at the city library.

A toddler who was reportedly abducted from Main Street Library in Milpitas today has been found in Fremont, according to several media outlets. ABC 7 News reported that a VTA bus driver saw the 3-year-old boy and the alleged abductor on a bus bound for Fremont.

According to NBC Bay Area, the boy was with his mother at the library before he disappeared.

At about 12:16 p.m., Milpitas Police tweeted, “As part of our investigation, officers are interviewing patrons @ #Milpitas Library. Access to library & surrounding area may be limited.”

The library, parking garage and surrounding areas are taped and coned off from the public as part of the investigation.
