MILPITAS, CA — Calaveras Road is closed between Piedmont Road and Vista Ridge Drive, according to Milpitas Police Lt. John Torrez.
Detour: From Calaveras, turn left on Evans Road, and then right on Old Calaveras Road, right on Downing Road to Calaveras Road.
The closure was requested by the City of Milpitas Department of Public Works. There's no word on when the road will reopen.
