CHP Vehicle Hit By Bullet On Hwy 101
The mysterious shooting occurred last night near Tully Road.
The California Highway Patrol and San Jose police this morning are investigating a Thursday night shooting incident in San Jose in which a CHP vehicle was struck by a bullet during a car stop.
The shooting occurred at 11:36 p.m. on northbound U.S. Highway 101 near Tully Road. There were two CHP officers with the vehicle when the shooting occurred, police said. One bullet struck the vehicle, but the officers were not injured.
The freeway was briefly shutdown as law enforcement officials investigated the shooting, but the shooting suspects were never located.
