Enjoy 'Tip-A-Cop' Dining With Milpitas PD At Black Bear Diner
Enjoy a late breakfast, brunch or lunch at this Special Olympics fundraiser at the local eatery. Remember ... all for a great cause!

MILPITAS, CA – A Tip-a-Cop event, to benefit Special Olympics, is planned Thursday, May 3 at Black Bear Diner with the Milpitas Police Department.
The fundraiser for Special Olympics of Northern California will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the restaurant, located at 174 W. Calaveras Blvd. in Milpitas.
At Tip-a-Cop events, officers serve restaurant customers with "tip" donations earmarked for Special Olympics.

"There are 22,780 athletes who compete in 299 competitions throughout the region in 14 sports," the department said. "Special Olympics require the extraordinary support and time of 21,710 volunteers and volunteer coaches. Financial support comes almost exclusively from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations."
