In Photos: Music Awards Night at Milpitas High
Student instrumentalists, music director and parent recognized at the end-of-the-year awards night; new drum majors receive their whistles.
The Milpitas High Music Department's awards and potluck were held at the gym on June 3.
Recipients of the 2011 Awards:
National Orchestra Award - Michael Li
Louis Armstrong Jazz Award - DeAlarik Ojeda
Sousa Band Award - Erin Pang
MHS Music Booster Service Award - Cynthia Walker
2011-2012 Drum Majors - Allan Tang and Sydnie Turner
The Milpitas High Music Department includes the marching band and colorguard, orchestra, percussion, pep band, jazz band. (It also includes the concert choir and glee club.) The music director is Chris Kaldy.

The 2011-2012 president of the Milpitas High Music Boosters is Ludger van Hal (with Susan Jackson). Norm Toy (and Cindy Toy) led the boosters club for the 2010-11 school year.
