Local Milpitas man wins national title at North American Bridge Championship
Luen-Jyh Luo of Milpitas wins Flight C of the Grand National Teams event at national bridge tournament

Luen-Jyh Luo of Milpitas and Tsao-Tsung Tsai of Cupertino led their team of four to win Flight C of the Grand National Teams event at the Summer North American Bridge Championship (NABC), one of 16 championship-level events held in Las Vegas from July 17 to 27.
Members of the championship team (pictured left to right) included Kendrick Chow, Samuel Kuang, Tsao-Tung Tsai and Luen-Jyh Luo.
Tsai and Luo’s California-based squad also included Kendrick Chow and Samuel Kuang, both of San Francisco, Calif. The championship title is the first NABC victory for Tsai and Luo, after finishing second in the 2014 President Cup NAP Flight C tournament.

The NABCs are held three times a year across the U.S. and Canada to bring together players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, with opportunities for everyone to play daily. The 2014 Fall NABC will be held in Providence, R.I., from Nov. 27 to Dec. 7.
