Man Arrested For Laser Strike Of CHP Aircraft
It happened over Levi Stadium as the CHP was assisting Santa Clara Police.

SANTA CLARA, CA — A CHP helicopter and airplane were struck by a green laser as they flew over Levi Stadium Friday night. The laser was coming from the parking lot.
A Santa Clara Police officer on the ground saw the suspect point the laser at the aircraft. He was arrested. Police have not released his name but say he is a 44-year-old man from Nevada.
The suspect was booked into the county jail. He could face both state and federal charges. According to a post from the CHP, "Upon conviction, the suspect could face civil penalties from the FAA that carry up to $11,000 per laser strike." Each aircraft was hit three times.
