Merryhill Preschool in San Jose Donates More Than 100 Gifts

Students at Merryhill Preschool in San Jose recently collected more than 100 new toys for Toys for Tots, a gift drive run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. At the close of the drive, a representative from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve visited the school to pick up the donations, and students helped him load the gifts into his vehicle for delivery to local children in need. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back, especially during the holidays.

Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
