Milpitas Duo Busted Driving Stolen Honda: Police
BREAKING: The male and female suspects allegedly were also in possession of burglary tools and drugs, law enforcement said.

MILPITAS, CA – A couple from Milpitas was arrested last week on numerous charges after allegedly being caught in a stolen car along with drugs and burglary tools, according to police.
Sonia Benitez, 28, was behind the wheel of green 1998 Honda Civic, reportedly swiped Feb. 15 from Redwood City, accompanied by her passenger, Marcos Fabian Tamayo, 32, when both were stopped Thursday by Milpitas Police Department officers as they were entering a shopping center parking lot on South Park Victoria Drive near East Calaveras Boulevard, according to the agency.
During the course of the investigation, detectives allegedly located stolen property, narcotics, and burglary tools. Benitez purportedly also had a credit card from a different car that was stolen from Milpitas on Feb. 14, police said.

The two were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for suspicion of automobile theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglary tools. Additionally, Benitez was on probation in Santa Clara County and was also booked for violation of probation, police said.
