School Threat In Milpitas Unfounded: Police

Police increased their presence around schools on Friday as a precaution.

MILPITAS, CA — Milpitas Police officers increased their presence around schools on Friday, following an unspecified social media threat, according to Police Lt. John Torrez.

Torrez reports, "The Milpitas Police Department established the posting was based on several levels of hearsay and has not found any evidence to validate the possible threat."

Several students came forward and cooperated with the investigation. The school district also helped the police department.
