Milpitas Police, Kiwanis Club Team-Up To Buy Kids School Supplies

MILPITAS, CA — School starts Aug. 17 — are you ready? We know that you're shopping your hearts out...the Great Mall was packed today!

Some families have trouble affording all the goodies that kids need to start a new school year. That where the Milpitas Kiwanis Club and Milpitas Police Department come in. They recently participated in a Child Shopping Spree at Kohls.

According to Police Lt. John Torrez, "Many members of our team attended after working a patrol shift last night or came in on their day off to support this great event."
