Milpitas Police Plan Saturation Patrols On Super Bowl Sunday
"Don't Fumble: Tackle Impaired Driving Before the Clock Starts."

For many football fans, it doesn't matter that neither the Raiders nor the 49ers are in this Sunday's Super Bowl, it's all about the food and parties.
Milpitas Police are joining law enforcement efforts to crack down on drunk driving. MPD will have saturation patrols that day.
“Besides all the other game day preparations, make sure you, as well as your family and friends, have a safe way to get home if you or they plan on drinking,” said Chief Armando Corpuz of the Milpitas Police Department. “We are going to have extra officers on the streets looking for drunk drivers during the Super Bowl weekend. Drunk driving is a deadly problem that can be avoided, so don’t let one bad decision turn into a tragedy that can ruin the lives of so many people.”
If no one wants to be the DD, call a cab or order a ride from Uber, Lyft or Curb.

Extra personnel costs for the saturation patrol will be covered by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration who reminds everyone to be alert and 'Report Drunk Drivers – Call 911'!
