Milpitas Walmart Fire Contained To Roof Solar Panels

MILPITAS, CA - Firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire Saturday afternoon at a Milpitas Walmart, according to the Milpitas Fire Department.

The fire was first reported at 3:06 p.m. at 301 Ranch Drive, near Interstate Highway 880. Smoke was coming from the roof and people were evacuating the store when firefighters arrived, fire officials said.

Firefighters contained the fire to the roof's solar panels and had the fire extinguished at 3:37 p.m.

No one was injured, according to fire officials.
