Milpitas Woman Found Dead in Overturned Vehicle
CHP dispatchers received a call around 5:50 p.m. Friday of a person found in an overturned Saturn in a ravine off Calaveras Road near Milpitas.

A 63-year-old Milpitas woman was found dead in an overturned vehicle in an embankment off of a roadway in an unincorporated area near Milpitas, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was found late afternoon Friday in Saturn off Calaveras Road, near
Milpitas, California Highway Patrol Officer Ron Simmons said.
Investigators learned that the woman, had been involved in a crash 24 hours to 72 hours before her remains were found, Simmons said.

Her name was being withheld Saturday, pending notification of kin.
The woman apparently was traveling north on Calaveras Road -- north of
Felter Road -- when the car went off the road and 250 feet down an embankment, authorities said.

Simmons said the car overturned, coming to rest on its roof in the
ravine east of Calaveras Road.
The crash was under investigation, though no one appeared to have witnessed the crash.
