Pair Arrested In Milpitas On Gun, Drug Charges
Patrol officers spotted something suspicious, leading to the arrests.

MILPITAS, CA — Milpitas Police arrested 34-year-old James Anthony Allen of San Jose and 36-year-old Stacy Segelin, a transient, on gun and drug charges on Feb. 23.
Just before midnight, officers were patrolling in the 300 block of Ranch Drive when they noticed a parked vehicle with the trunk left opened. As the officers approached the vehicle, they realized Allen and Segelin were inside of the car. T
A computer check revealed that Seglin is on searchable probation for various offenses. During a probation search, officers found drug paraphernalia in her possession and a loaded handgun in a backpack in the car. Officers concluded the handgun belonged to Allen and a check on the handgun revealed it had not been legally registered.

Allen was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for carrying a concealed loaded firearm in a vehicle and for carrying an unregistered handgun in a vehicle.
Seglin was cited and released.
