Milpitas Parents Preschool kicked off its first day with a roomful of two-to-four year olds and their parents.

Teacher Jeanette and staff welcomed new and returning students to Milpitas Parents Preschool on Wednesday morning.
The multiage class (Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) consists children ages two through four. Pre-kindergarteners regularly meet a half hour earlier at 8:30 a.m.
Parents and children had an orientation session this morning. Some kids were outgoing and others were shy.

Maira Asad said she would like to see her first child, Aleena, socialize more with others.
"I think I'm looking more forward to this than she is," said Asad, as her two-and-a-half-year-old raised up her arms, wanting to be carried.
