Rubio's Opening Next Week in New Brokaw Plaza

SAN JOSE, CA – A new Rubio’s Coastal Grill opens next week in the Brokaw Plaza shopping center, and the first 50 people in line on opening day will receive free Rubio’s merchandise and $50 in Rubio’s gift cards.

The new locale for the chain, known for its popular fish tacos, will open at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at 1078 E. Brokaw Road.

"We’re excited to offer San Jose residents another location to enjoy our food and new coastal ambiance,” said co-founder Ralph Rubio, who brought his love of fish tacos to the United States after a college trip to Baja California, Mexico.

Since its first restaurant opened in San Diego in 1983, Rubio’s has garnered quite a fan base throughout the Southwestern U.S., who love the menu's tacos, burritos, salads and bowls, and guacamole made daily in the kitchen.
