School Board Meeting Agenda: June 14

The 's fiscal year starts on July 1, so tonight's actions include approving the budget for 2011-12.

Here are some of the items on the agenda:

• Approve the budget for 2011-2012 fiscal year, which includes projections for 2012-13 and 2013-14;

• Eliminate one full-time equivalent position in maintenance, transportation and grounds due to budget constraints;

• Reduce hours for the community liaison position from 12 months to 10.5 months;

• Hear a solar report from a Chevron Energy Solutions representative about the second full year of the program, which saved $105,857 in the 2010 calendar year;

• Renew a contract with Mission College for students to receive credit for courses;

• Renew contracts with two law firms for services to the district;

• Approve a three-year contract with a vendor company in which the district earns 25 percent of net sales less the cost of the product.
