Small Earthquake Reported In South Bay

No damage or injuries were reported.

SOUTH BAY, CA — As the Memorial Day holiday weekend was winding down, a small earthquake rattled the South Bay. It was measured at 3.0 by the US Geological Survey. There were no reports of damage or injuries.

The earthquake was recorded at 5:14 p.m.

The slippage was on the Calaveras Fault. The epicenter was 13 miles east southeast of San Jose.

Residents reported feeling the earthquake in San Jose, Morgan Hill, Santa Clara, and Mountain View, along with individual reports of feeling it in Burlingame and Dublin.
