Swades Aug 6th - Indian Independence Day Celebration

On August 6th 2016,  Milpitas will see its very first Indian Independence day celebration.  This unique festival is a product of many Indian organizations coming together in unity to celebrate the large Indo American community in this part of the world. With many kid and family centered activities, this festival is open to all Indio Americans as well as anyone that wants a taste of India.

This festival claims to have it all.  Exciting rides for children such as water ball, Zorb ball, tea cup rides, Bungee jumping, Pony rides and petting zoo.  Indian and American super hero Mascots such as Chota Bheem, Bala Krishna, Bala Hanuman, Spiderman, captain America and many more.  Nostalgic picnic sports including lemon and spoon, Sack race, etc.,   A Unique DJ junction with prizes for best dancers, an all around India Food festival, Day long cultural programs, Stalls selling Indian clothes, Jewelry and of course Flag hoisting ceremony with pomp!
