Teens Steal Car, Take Police On Chase Through Santa Clara: Cops
The suspects were spotted at 3:30 a.m. near the Alviso border in a 1991 white Honda Accord.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Two boys were arrested for allegedly stealing a car and leading police on a chase that ended in a crash early Sunday morning, police said. The suspects were spotted at 3:30 a.m. near the Alviso border in a 1991 white Honda Accord, which had been reported missing at 1 a.m.
The 15-year-old driver did not have a license. He broke his leg and was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. The passenger, 16, was not hurt during the crash, Santa Clara police Capt. Wahid Kazemi said.
Once spotted, the suspects drove away, leading officers on a chase that ended at Wilson High School. The driver lost control at the corner of Homestead Road and Scott Boulevard. He drove through a chain-link fence and crashed into a tree behind the high school.

Because of his injuries, the driver was released to his mother's custody. He is suspected of grand theft auto and evading police. The passenger was taken to juvenile hall on suspicion of possessing stolen property, Kazemi said.
