Volunteer Open House with Child Advocates of Silicon Valley

Learn how you can make a difference in the life of a foster youth.

BECOME A COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE (CASA). Join us at our upcoming CASA Volunteer Open House.

**Who are CASA Volunteers?**

CASA volunteers are people like you. They are teachers, students, business people, retirees and grandparents. CASA volunteers want to make certain the voices of abused and neglected children are heard in an over-burdened child welfare system.

**What Do CASA Volunteers Do?**

CASA volunteers get to know the child and gather information from everyone involved in the child’s life, including family members, teachers, doctors, lawyers, and social workers.
They use the information they gather to report to the court and to advocate for the child’s needs in the foster care system. CASA volunteers commit to represent and advocate for a child’s best interests until the child finds a safe, permanent home.

**Ready to Speak Up for a Child Who Needs You?**

Take the first step towards becoming a CASA volunteer by signing up to attend one of our Volunteer Open House http://bit.ly/CASAorientation or by contacting our Outreach Coordinator at 408-573-5611 or sending us an e-mail.

Thank you!
