Warm Blankets for our "Furry Friends"

St. John's School in Milpitas supports local Humane Society

Mrs. Heather Hinkley’s First Grade Class at St. John the Baptist School have been learning all about creation and how they should love and take good care of all of God’s creatures. In keeping with this theme the class decided to make warm blankets (35 pieces) and to donate money, toys and food to the Milpitas Humane Society on Tuesday November 18th.

The First Grade Class along with their parents were very excited to be a part of this project especially during this season of giving. During their visit, they toured the facility and the children learned about the shelter and the different animals they care for.

The students also learned how they can make sure animals stay safe, happy and healthy. Thank you to the parents who volunteered to chaperone. Special thanks to Mrs. Swati Govil (parents of Gauri, Gr. 1 & Radha, Gr. 2) for coordinating the field trip.
