"The 99ers" is the February's Film of Character.

The true story of the 1999 American Women's Soccer Team.

Mission Viejo’s Community of Character Committee is hosting “The 99ers” which coincides with February’s character trait of “unity.”

The documentary will be shown on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at 2 pm at the Mission Viejo City Hall in the council chambers, theater-size screen with surround-sound at 200 Civic Center Dr, Mission Viejo, CA 92691 across from the Mission Viejo Library.

The public is invited to enjoy the PG-rated film at no charge. It is the true story of the 1999 American Women’s Soccer team. The legendary team won the 1999 FIFA World Cup. Team captain and Mission Viejo High School graduate Julie Foudy is expected to speak about the role of “unity” in the team’s success. Foudy will answer questions from the audience.
