Relay For Life 2016 Event Schedule at Saddleback College 24-hours/ overnight.

THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY’S Relay for Life of Mission Viejo, will host its 24-hour, (cancer never sleeps), overnight free, family-friendly event. The event will be held at Saddleback College track, 28000 Marguerite Pkwy, MV, CA 92692 on Saturday, June 4 at 9 am to Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 9 am.

Teams walk on the track at Saddleback College. They are committed to creating awareness & raising money in the fight against Cancer. Join in the party atmosphere! Teams pitch tents, camp-out, eat & feast, share in games and entertainment.

You need not be a runner or even a walker to participate. It is not a race. The common thread is to have team member’s continuously walking, running or strolling around the track for 24 hours to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we have lost to the disease and to empower everyone to fight back against cancer.

It’s not too late to get involved, join in the fun or just volunteer to help. It’s a party! Teams pitch tents, camp-out, eat, feast, share in the games and entertainment.

Friday, June 3 Campsite Set–up Noon-7pm

Saturday, June 4, 2016

7 am Campsite Set–up 7:30 am Registration opens

9-9:30 am Opening Ceremonies- Emcee Ron Ruhman National Anthem by- Paul Bucknum

Speakers: Event Chair- Denise Matson

9:30 am Ribbon cutting, Survivor/Caregiver Lap led by marching band.

10 am Hope Café – for Survivors and Caregivers. Hope Cafe is free.

9:45- 10:30 am Free Pizza Band (kids band)

10:30 am Kids Kamp Opens

11 am Themed Lap- “Look Good Feel Better.” Wear wigs, scarves, belts…accessorize to promote the free, patient service program-“Look Good Feel Better.”

11- 11:30 am Singers Company 1 Kids dance/sing

****Possibly 11 am or Noon Silent Auction starts

LUNCH- Three Meal Deal for $25 or $10 for lunch, $10 for dinner, $5 Breakfast

11:30 am- Lunch by Hacienda on the Lake. Tacos, beans & rice

Noon while quantities last.

12 – 1:15 pm South of Mars

1 pm. Themed Lap- “Road to Recovery.” Start your engines and line up your homemade cars to compete for “Best in the Show.” Lap promotes ACS program - “Road to Recovery” which provides free rides to doctors appointments,

2 -2:30 pm Zumba For Life, zumba /dance Donation

3 pm Themed Lap- Crazy/wild Hats.

3-3:45 pm OC Ramblers

4:15- 5:30 pm Static Electricians

5 pm Themed Lap – “I am a Little Bit Country!” Wear boots, cowboy hats or country attire.

5:30- 6 pm Dinner Sponsored by Outback.

6 pm Kids Kamp Closes.

6-7:30 pm Hunting Waldo/band

7pm Themed Lap- “So You Think You are a Country-Western Celebrity.” Get your Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton on. Dress like your favorite celebrity.

7 pm Silent Auction Closes.

8-8:45 pm All Night Meat Bingo Rock Band

9-10 pm Luminaria Ceremony, Lap around the track lead by Bagpiper, Amazing Grace

10 pm Themed Lap- “It’s PJ Time.” Dress in your pajamas, camp out and relax.

11 pm Movie (rated G) 12:30 am Movie (rated G) 2 am Movie (rated G)

Sun., June 7 7 am Breakfast $5 pancakes, eggs and coffee 8 am Fight Back Lap 8:30 am CLOSING CEREMONIES/FIGHT BACK
