MISSION VIEJO, CA — One person was killed in a fiery crash on the San Diego (5) Freeway traveling through Mission Viejo.
The crash happened at 12:09 a.m. Thursday on the Oso Parkway off-ramp from the southbound San Diego Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP the vehicle was on fire and a person was trapped inside, with several drivers stopping to try to help.
According to authorities, the sedan possibly crashed into an unknown object before flipping.
Crash details were not immediately available.
