4. Tustin Group Hails Legislative Passage of California Child Marriage Bill (mynewsla.com) — Mission Viejo is highlighted among 16 Orange County cities that passed resolutions backing a statewide ban on child marriage, helping push California lawmakers to approve Assembly Bill 1267. The bill would set 18 as the minimum marriage age with no exceptions and now awaits Gov. Gavin Newsom's decision. A Tustin-based nonprofit led the yearslong campaign behind the change.
