MISSION VIEJO, CA — Are you an art instructor with a passion for teaching? The City of Mission Viejo wants you. The City of Mission Viejo announced Monday that the Potocki Center for the Arts is seeking instructors who are passionate about art and working with the public for the upcoming year.

The new instructors will supplement the center's plans to increase operational hours and expand offerings for the community in the upcoming year. The Potocki Center for the Arts offers a myriad of classes geared toward different age groups in areas like fine arts, art history, jewelry, ceramics, music, after-school programming and more, according to the city.

According to the city, art instructors are independent contractors who provide instruction through classes or workshops. Contract instructors are not city employees, and ideal candidates have both a background in arts and experience working with the public.

Those who are interested in learning more about becoming an instructor are encouraged to fill out an interest form to be sent to the city. From there, staff will contact you with more information on the formal application process as well as requirements for the position.
