Attend Neighborhood Meeting Nov. 8 regarding Athletic Park Field
Learn about proposed lighting improvement project
The City of Mission Viejo Community Services Commission is inviting residents to a special Neighborhood Meeting on Monday, November 8 to learn about the proposed athletic field lighting improvement project at Marty Russo Youth Athletic Park.
Located at 22056 Olympiad Road, the park is home to many baseball and soccer practices, games and tournaments hosting hundreds of young residents and their families each year. Over the last several years, the City has continued to receive requests from organizations like Little League and AYSO to consider opportunities to increase and replace existing field lighting throughout the park. The lighting improvements will allow the leagues to accommodate needed practice and game schedules, particularly during winter months, while also addressing park visibility and safety.
The Neighborhood Meeting will give residents the chance to learn more, provide input and ask questions. It will take place from 5:30-6:30 pm at Marty Russo Youth Athletic Park behind Field #1.

The information gathered will be reviewed at the November 16 Community Services Commission meeting, which begins at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.
