Be Prepared For Health Emergencies In Mission Viejo
As we all watch hurricane Florence strike the Carolina Coast, OC Health Care shares how you would get supplies in an emergency.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — It's called Point of Dispensing, and in a true emergency, POD is the only way to get medication and supplies to a community in need. Orange County residents including those in south county cities of San Juan, San Clemente, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Lake Forest, Irvine, Laguna Beach and Aliso Viejo are invited to go, collect an emergency preparedness bag and a festive pumpkin as a bonus to all, as long as supplies last, according to Orange County Health Care Agency.
This October, residents of Orange County are invited to attend the Point of Dispensing exercise in preparedness to teach you what to do in case of a health emergency, and where to go in a time of crisis. The multi-city Point of Dispensing event is orchestrated by the OC Health Care Agency.
"In a real emergency, PODs can save lives by getting needed medication and supplies to our community quickly and efficiently," an OC Health Care spokesperson said.
