Community Corner

Be a Santa for a Senior.

Make a difference by donating a gift to a local senior citizen.

It is easy to be a Santa to a senior. A Christmas tree at Norman Murray Community & Senior Center features tags with seniors, disabled adults and low income individual’s gift requests. With your help, you can make Christmas for our seniors a lot happier.

Senior Santa & Friends is a gift program that is associated with Orange County Social Services Operation Santa Claus Program. This is a county wide program that Mission Viejo participates. Last year more than 2,250 individuals benefited from the Senior Santa & Friends.

Holiday shoppers can pick up a tag, buy items on the list and return them unwrapped to Norman Murray Community Center along with the tag attached.

Please open your hearts to those seniors who have given so much to make our community a great place to live.

You can go to the Norman Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, 92692 and take a tag off of the tree.

If you don’t have time to give a gift you can give a tax deductible donation to Age Well Senior Services. A $25 tax deductible donation will feed a senior for a month.
