In the final Origami Yoda case file from the kids at McQuarrie Middle School, “Emperor Pickletine Rides the Bus” follows Tommy and the gang as they prepare for a well-earned day of fun and adventure in Washington, DC. Their trip to the nation’s capital is full of shifting alliances and betrayals, carsickness and sugar rushes. The book is said to be the “sweetest, stookiest, biggest, craziest Origami Yoda case file yet.”
Angleberger is a former newspaper reporter and columnist whose books have been sold to 3.3-million people worldwide.

“I’m not necessarily all that creative,” he said. “I’m more of a puzzle putter together. I take all these little puzzle pieces — Yoda, middle school problems, Cheetos — and I fuss and fuss with them until I fit them together.”
“Emperor Pickletine Rides the Bus” will be available for purchase at the event. Buying books during Writers Present is a great way for the public to support the author programs and keep them free. To reserve a seat, call 949-830-7100 ext. 5107.
