Bingo for Music at Trabuco Hills High School

THHS Instrumental Music Boosters host bingo Thursdays to support the school's music programs.

With budget cuts a way of life for local schools, Trabuco Hills High School's Instrumental Music Boosters have been finding their own funding with bingo.

The procedes benefit the marching band, drum line, color guard, symphonic orchestra, wind ensemble, symphonic wind, jazz ensemble and pep band.

"TheBoosters ... have been around for nine years," event director Walt Howard said. "Bingo was just one of the few ideas that we discussed, and it's been working out well for us."

Folks have been gathering for bingo for about 18 months, Howard said.

You can catch bingo on Thursdays: 6:15 p.m. for the early birds, and a 7 p.m. main event. The event also offers food, snacks and drinks.

The lucky winner pulls down a $250 pot prize.
