Celebrating the GRANDS in Our Lives with Love!

Come one, come young, come older, come all and they did. Mission Viejo's Community of Character Committee invited grandparents and grandchildren to a free event at the Norman P. Murray Community Center in honor of National Grandparents Day on Sun., Sept. 9.

With modeling clay, paint, sprinkles and frosting, grandchildren ages 3 to 7 decorated homemade, giant turtle and frog cookies, painted their faces and won prizes playing bingo. Photos were taken that went into picture frames made by the kids. Plus, each grandparent was given a personal organizer to put their photo in to remember the day.

Boundless magic, excitement, smiles and positive energy let the Grandparents know how much we adore and appreciate them.
