Our Therapists begin by massaging hot stones on the body to relieve tension by relaxing overworked muscles. The heat from the stones creates a “thermo-therapeutic,” effect on the circulator system, which encourages the flow of lymph, allowing the body to detoxify and heal. Therapists follow the hot stones with deep sports massage, and move you through a series of passive stretches that increase mobility and flexibility of the joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles and fascia.

Cold stones are used at the end of the treatment to reduce inflammation and cool down the body. It’s all topped off with an application of Relieve Sports Balm to ease any leftover muscle or joint pain. Unlike its pungent predecessors, our Relieve Sports Balm has a pleasant scent. A proprietary blend of invigorating oils, it stars peppermint, a stimulating essential oil that soothes and cools the skin, and acts as a vaso-constrictor, (narrows the blood vessels, which helps to retain body heat). Wintergreen, another member of the mint family, brings along a big rèsumè of properties: analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, anti-tussive, astringent, diuretic and stimulant. It’s complimented with the cooling and stimulating properties of menthol.
