Meaning of St. Patricks Day Priceless-Margot Ferron

Chili cookoff Winners

Some like it hot, some not, but there was plenty of chili for everyone to sample at the St. Patrick’s Day Chili cook-off that benefitted the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Mission Viejo.

Community of Character hosted the cook-off to raise funds for their Relay team.   Everyone sampled the various chili’s, enjoyed the music and the spirit of the day.

Sonny Miles won the popular vote.  Judges second place for the best chili went to Keith Sandler and first place went to Trent Wolfert.  Wolfert donned his apron and rising to the occasion said “I want to donate the prize to Relay for Life.”

In a room full of impressionable young people and older people this was worth much more than $100.  It was priceless.  It showed each one of us it’s not about money; it is all about giving back and showing you care.  Sandler also donated his prize to Relay.

To all the chefs, thanks for making this a blarney fun event!
