Space Shuttle Endeavour: California Science Center Excursion
Blast off on a fun trip to the California Science Center in Exposition Park, Los Angeles on Sat., April 20 from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm! The California Science Center is the West Coast's largest hands-on science center.
Sit back and enjoy the ride to Beverly Hills where we will feast on a delectable lunch at Lawry’s Prime Rib. Afterwards your trip will be enhanced by seeing a film on a 7-story IMAX screen.
Currently, Endeavour which flew a total of 25 missions from 1992 to 2012 is housed in a temporary display pavilion. Later it will be at Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, a wing expected to open in about five years. Once the 122-foot shuttle is permanently relocated into the wing at the museum, it will be in vertical, takeoff position with its twin solid rocket boosters and external tank attached.
The California Story, a companion exhibit features images and artifacts of the shuttle program to California where the orbiters were built. You will have the unique chance to explore the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Guests can touch the tires from Endeavour flight STS-134, which show the wear from landing on the runway.

Engaging videos show the power and thrust of Endeavour through assembly, rollout and launch. More than 1,000,000 visitors have come to the museum in just four months to see Endeavour. So if you missed it, here’s your chance.
