Summer’s Cool for Kids at Saddleback College—Swim Lesson and More

Registration is now open for Saddleback College's popular College for Kids – Junior Gauchos program, which allows kids ages seven to 14 years a chance to experience college life.

Registration is now open for Saddleback College’s popular College for Kids – Junior Gauchos program, which allows kids ages seven to 14 years a chance to experience college life.

Hundreds of young students will have the opportunity to develop their own individualized class schedules from a wide range of offerings, including but not limited to:

  • acting,
  • art,
  • chess,
  • computers,
  • dance,
  • film animation,
  • history,
  • languages,
  • manners,
  • math,
  • modeling,
  • music,
  • reading,
  • science,
  • sewing,
  • sports,
  • study skills,
  • theatre,
  • writing and more.

All classes are offered in two-week blocks, Monday through Thursday, June 25 through August 2. New to the summer program is Power Week, June 18 through June 21. This four-day experience is an ideal opportunity for home-schooled children and students with early summer dismissal to take classes.

In addition to the College for Kids program, Saddleback College is celebrating its 33rd season of swim lessons for children. Lessons available are Parent & Me (3-36 months); Tiny Tot (3-4 years); beginners, advanced beginners, intermediate, and competitive swim (five years and older). There is also a variety of specialized programs, including Beginning Springboard Diving, Personalized Springboard Diving, and Junior Lifeguard Conditioning. Classes are available on weekdays and Saturdays, now through August 16th.
